My new forum info
I finally got my blog account set up! Yay me! To my fellow group members, I am in a forum for moms called CafeMom.com I chose this forum because my world revolves around my children and the blessing of being a mom! I’ve been lurking all week, which I find interesting! I chose several groups to lurk in- moms with teens, moms of elementary kids, confessions of moms, and newcomers. I receive daily emails that share a topic for each group. I find that when moms talk about their own children, they can really go on and on. There are those random posts that begin with a question like “What’s the worse thing you found in your child’s backpack?” and moms just give short answers. I only found a few controversial posts and replys that have to deal with putting down certain ways mothers discipline their children and what’s best for their child. One lady really was offended when another lady posted that the worse place to live was Alaska. She called her ignorant! They went back and forth. It was really inappropriate. I’m enjoying this blogging and forums thing quite well!

Hey Shirley, thank you for making the blog accessible! I commend you and all working moms (my own included), you truly have two full time jobs. Being a mom is such an amazing responsibility which I hope to take on some day myself. I bet you will find some fascinating topics and conversations in this blog. I definitely agree there are some moms that will go on and on when given the chance to talk about their kids. I certainly hope the digital citizenship in this forum is civil, given that people are talking about their children. It will be a fascinating thing for you to follow!
ReplyDeleteI think I might have posted a response of your first blog, but just in case I"ll post on this one as well. Your forum seems very interesting and since I have read all of your other posts, I know you have found some very insightful things. I think this a great forum for mom's to look at to ask questions and read what other moms are posting. I could also imagine that a forum such as this one would raise controversial questions and answers. I'm glad you found a blog that sparked your interest.
